Switching cages size wise?
I have a 2nd hamster , 7 weeks old. She has been in a smaller bin for 8 days, I want to switch her to a large bin,650 sq inches. Will it be hard since she is just a baby ??? She says in her hideout most of the day,I know she comes out at night because of empty food bowl.

Re: Switching cages size wise?
her age shouldn't be a factor really. i don't see what she wouldn't be ready in that sense. have you only had her for 8 days? because you don't want to disrupt her when she is still settling in.
what size bin is she in now?

Her bin is about 1/2 the size of new one.New one is 110 qt, 640 sq inches. Is 8 days not long enough to settle in????

Re: Switching cages size wise?
Personally I'd suggest leaving her to settle into the bin she has for a bit longer unless her behaviour suggests that she needs something bigger straight away.
