Default Spider in the cage! Eeek!

This morning when I picked up the blanket I use to cover the window to block out the sun during the summer, a MASSIVE spider was on the underside. I'm scared of spiders so I dropped the blanket on the cage.

When my boyfriend (chief spider evictor) picked up the blanket the spider dropped into the cage. I honestly don't know how it fit through the mesh at the top because it was HUGE! Like so huge that it would win first place at a body buidling contest.

Then it disappeared like some bad magic act. So I know I'm overreacting but do you think it will hurt my sleeping hamster?

My guess is that the hamster would eat the spider. They'd be a tasty meal in the wilds i can imagine.

Hmm, i have a growing house spider living in the fire place, same room as my hamster. Maybe i should evacuate the spider to protect it from the hamster!

I'd get blinds for the window. Makes life easier.

Put in some toilet paper leading out so the spider can climb out if your hamster lives in a tank or bin.

Most likely your hamster will just eat it tbh.

Thanks guys, I knew was overreacting! I think Sarlacc had a run in with it as he was very jittery that night but we managed to find the spider and evict it and he's calmed down.
