Default Thinning hair and indentations in my hamsters skin

Hi! I’ve owned my Syrian for about a year now but about five months ago I started to notice that in some areas along her back, her hair was thinning out and there were some line indentations in those thinning areas. In these five months, I’ve switched around her bedding from Aspen the paper-based and even switched around some toys I thought she might be scratching her self On but it never went away. However, recently some of the hair has been growing back and the line indentations aren’t there all of the time. I did think it may have been her sand because I have heard that children’s play sand, which I use, may be too rough and can wreck your hamsters coat but I always thoroughly sift the sand to make sure there are no big pieces in it and I’ve never heard of anything like this happening before. If anyone has any ideas why her coat may be thinning or why she has the line indentations, please let me know!
