odd coloured red eyes?
(i have no idea how to work this or if im doing this right so apologies in advance)
my hamster Momo has one light red eye and one dark red eye, i was wondering if its natural and normal or if it might be an issue with her vision. im pretty sure shes had it since i got her but i didnt notice it right away as it can be kinda subtle.
i have no idea if the picture will work lol

Re: odd coloured red eyes?
Yes it is quite normal and fairly common. It is caused by the pattern and the way the two genes (pattern and colour) are interacting. The band will cause one eye to be pinker than the other. It doesn't cause any problems with the eyes though and both will have normal sight Momo is very cute and looks to be a cinnamon banded.

Re: odd coloured red eyes?
Momo is very cute.
Having odd coloured eyes is known as Heterochromia. My Syrian hamster Bramwell also has different coloured eyes (1 pink and 1 ruby). Like you I didn’t notice it at first as the difference is very subtle. It doesn’t bother him in the slightest and I think only further adds to my hamster's charm!
