Waking up for the night. Bit later than usual. Think hes having a growth spurt.

Hi, it looks like he’s been chewing the ridges in the tubes? Chewing plastic is dangerous and could blockages so it’s best to remove them (tubes arent great for nesting in either). Also it looks like your cage is the p@h large hamster cage? If thats the case then it will actually need upgrading to a larger cage (minimum of 80x50cm but 100x50 is best for a Syrian really). Unfortunately pet shops still have a lot of outdated information and unsuitable habitats

If you’d like, I can recommend some cages and accessories suitable for Syrian hamsters?

Hey. He doesn't chew on the tubes. Them lines do that on pics not sure why. If you look at the inner lines they are unchewed.

I will be looking for a bigger one probably next month.
