My Sunflower is a ghost yellow banded!

Here's picture of Smokey, so named because just the tips of his fur are black, like he's a bit soot-covered, but I figured "Sooty" didn't quite have the same ring to it
I agree, both the ghost yellow and sepia silver grey look really close. I'm leaning more towards ghost yellow, but more so because I like the name of that color!

Smokey isn't a ghost yellow. He looks to be a silver grey with some browning or possibly carrying some other colours which a making him less greyish. Silver grey is very dominant.

Thanks, Souffle! I find his coloring very interesting because closer up and in brighter light he looks more whitish with shadowing around the periphery of him. When I first met him he crawled right into the crook of my arm for a cuddle (although now that I know how much he hates light I think it was more to hide than anything.) So I picked him for his personality but was wishing he was more of a golden color. However, now I think he's the cutest, bestest hamster ever! I realize I may be biased.. also he's only the second hamster I've ever encountered, the first being my cousin's. That little guy was so cute I went into hamster withdrawal when I left and had to get a hamster of my own!
