A Hello from the Vectis Hammies
Hello!
Since I have no pup piccies to post (yet), I thought I'd share a couple of my other hams.
Last year was a tough year in the hamstery but it looks like things are back on track now. Everyone is thriving and healthy (apart from a couple of diabetic hammies). Currently the hamster room is home to: - 21 Chinese
- 11 Syrians
- 4 Robos (not including the pups in the litter)
- 1 Winter White
Apart from the hammies, Vectis is also home to 9 duprasi, 8 harvest mice and 1 chihuahua.
My first love was, and still is, Chinese hamsters so I've stopped breeding Campbell and WWs to focus on the Chineseys. I also love dark grey Syrians so I have varying colours of Syrian: yellow, golden, dark grey, cinnamon, lilac and smoke pearl. Dora had a litter recently but sadly none of the pups made it to 2 weeks old. She's well though.
I couldn't resist having robos again when I was offered a blue pied boy. There's something about a robo! So my little tribe of robos will hopefully add some information to what is currently understood about this colour.
Dora the Syrian
Barton and Easton the Chinese
Cohen and Desiderata the Chinese
Baby harvest mice
Zeus the robo

Re: A Hello from the Vectis Hammies
Ah Ha, a Vectis update. First though, I am sorry to hear that 2018 was a tough year in the Hamstery. I did miss you at Andover and Real London. Glad things are going better now. Look forward to robo pup news. Poor Dora, breeding does have its upsetting side.
Chinese clan sound in good shape and the the Syrian prospects are very exciting.
Rogue being a good boy?

It is so lovely to see you back Vectis and things are looking more promising although it was a shame to hear about Dora's babies.

Lovely to see all your hammies and other rodents The white chinese is gorgeous! I have a soft spot for Zeus the robo as well, having a robo here too even though of dubious breeding (mine that is). He looks like he is thinking about something important. The harvest mice are adorable! So sorry about Dora's litter.

Re: A Hello from the Vectis Hammies
Lovely to see you back on the forum. So sorry that last year was tough for you and also Dora's pups not making it - but pleased that Dora herself is well.
Your hammies are adorable but those Harvest mice are too cute!

Sorry to hear things haven't been going so well but do hope there are much better times to come now.
Lovely to see some of your hams again & the baby harvest mice are just adorable.
I'd love to see some of the doops again too.
