| Hamster ghosts???
There is a very valid reason that I am asking this question to the Forum....
have any of you ever experienced any hamster ghosty goings on ? or any 'strange unexplained' happenings after one of your hamsters has passed?
I am aware some people may be very sceptical about spooky things but I will post my reason after some of you have replied, because I was well freaked out what I saw in the early hours of this morning.

| Re: Hamster ghosts??? Well it wasn't a Hamster, but my Guinea pig passed away while I was on holiday and driving back home. I was upset and crying, but then felt this really strong tickling on my neck and an unstoppable urge to laugh - I sussed it was my guinea because he always used to cuddle in my neck and tickle me with his whiskers.
Not really a ghost, but a connection with a pet after is has passed...

| Re: Hamster ghosts??? Tell us what you saw....
I believe in afterlife. I also believe spirits can't move on until they have said goodbye, or reassured you they are fine. Whether it is human or animal.
My closest, best friend died very suddenly 10 years ago, and I didn't have a chance to say goodbye. For a few weeks after she was around me, I could sense it every now and then. And when I had my son I felt she was there (I had my son as a single parent so spent the majority of time alone in hospital) just letting me know everything was ok and I'd manage fine as a mum.
Dont want to go into detail, as its a bit personal, but I do believe in all things spooky!
If you feel you want to tell us what you saw, then do. We wont laugh or dismiss it, I'd like to think we're all 'cyber' friends on here |

I dont think there is anyone on here that would be nasty or dismiss your views. If someone did not believe in it themselves, I would hope they'd just respect you and what happened to you by just reading it and not leaving a comment.

The movie is out in the US now, not sure when it's out in the UK but I hope to go see it.

| Re: Hamster ghosts??? Miya my black dom spot was PTS last wednesday 3rd , I have been heartbroken since.
I was cleaning Miyas cage out last night, and her toys etc, then cleaning the new cage for my new baby Poppy when she arrives Saturday.
I was a bit upset when I was cleaning out Miyas things , but did it and then put her cage neatly to one side with the wheel and toys in.
At about 2am this morning, I was woken by what sounded like a Miyas wheel, as I was so used to hearing it, and she was in the spare room next to our bedroom. I also heard my cat moew downstairs, so I got out of bed and the noise stopped when I went down to see the cat. My cat wanted to go out so i let her out and then went back to bed, maybe thinking that I imagined it????
HOWEVER...
I was woken again my the SAME noise at 4am, so i got up and quietly went to the spare room (the door was ajar) as I pushed the door open, the noise immedaitely stopped, so I quickly turned on the light , and was freaked out to death, Miyas wheel was 'rocking' as if a hamster had just ran off it!! I couldnt believe it, and it has freaked me out since.
Can I also point out to the forum, yes I know that I have been upset and under stress at losing my beloved pet, and people may say oh you could have imagined it, or been half asleep.....I WAS AWAKE and I know what I saw. I dont want to tell my husband cos he will think ive lost the plot and say ive been stressed and upset.
Very wierd!
Believe what you will, just thought i would share this experience with you.
thanks
Fran

| Re: Hamster ghosts??? I believe you.
It may be Miyas way of saying goodnight and goodbye, and she is accepting the new arrival, Poppy, by having one last play on her wheel before Poppy comes to you.
If I were you, I wouldn't tell your husband. I'd keep the experience safe in me, and gain comfort from it, and not let anyone take that away from you...
Miya is saying thanks, love you, have fun with Poppy, but not necessarily goodbye |
