Default UK adoption

I've noticed that people get hamsters by asking to look in the back for adoptions. However, this is in America. Do PetsAtHome or Jollyes or any other retail pet shops do adoptions? I am unsure

Yes that’s in the US apparently. Pets at home have adoption centres, most seem to anyway. Every time I’ve been in my local ones there have been some hamsters for adoption. Not sure about Jollyes wasn’t sure if they even had pets for sale.

Thanks, I shall go to the nearest PetsAtHome and hope they have some available, if not I guess it's a classic case of the waiting game until one shows up.

You can also find Hamsters for Adoption/rehoming on Gumtree and Pets4Homes websites - often people who got them for a child and got bored. Some RSPCA centres have hamsters but this is becoming increasingly rare. I think they rely on rodent rescues more.

What area are you in? I know of a couple of good rodent rescues in the north with many hams in need of a good home.

I'm in Cornwall, UK and my local P@H has a small adoption centre. That's where I got Hesper!

Sorry, unfortunately, I'm not in the north, though thanks for the RSPCA centres I am currently researching those.

Sorry again!
