Question Is this toy safe?

Hi guys,

I just got back from the pet store and bought this toy. However looking at it now it looks like there's paint on it (not natural food dye) and the holes on the side look too small for my Syrian hamster if she tried to get through them. Do you think I should throw it away? The brand is Carno

Thanks guys!

I wouldn't use it tbh, I have seen similar toys & they don't really offer much benefit & a Syrian could possibly get it's head stuck if it tried to get into the holes.

I agree, the holes are quite risky tbh. Hopefully you can return it!

I wouldn't use this toy for a Syrian or any hamster for that matter. It doesn't look very safe plus some hamsters can get a little startled if they stand on something and it moves. Plus a Syrian could get stuck in the holes.

Instead of throwing it away I would return it to the store you purchased it from.

Everyone has said it. The hoes look to small for a Syrian hamster. Rather be Sade than sorry. Hope you can return it!

Thanks guys, definitely returning it. Wish pet stores near me sold better toys. Usually I just make stuff myself so I know it's safe
