Re: The BP Hamily
Such fluffy roundness BP, a real trencherman is Veikko! Phew, what a scare he gave you. Lucky you saw it so quickly and the vet was open. All good now and he can get sand on the chair whenever he likes I guess?!

What a good boy you are eating all your greens Veikko! Love that photo of him keeping an eye on Feliks He's such a lovely little guy, so glad he recovered so well from his pouch scare & is happily munching away again

Re: The BP Hamily
Thank you all
Yes Coco, he can leave sand all over my chair any time he wants. The hamsters know who is in charge in this house, them! Thankfully our vet is open 24 hours a day all year round so it is possible to see a vet, though if it's outwith normal working hours it is a lot more expensive for a consultation. I'm just glad we have a vet fund for such emergencies. They're very good though and will have a chat with you first to see if they think it is something that can wait until normal opening hours.
I do love that picture too cypher and Sasha, he's got such a cute expression and I love his little paw dangling over the edge He's really very nosey. He even has a hammock now that he sits on top of so that he can nosey to his hearts content lol.
He does enjoy his greenbeans pinkpixie, though there is not much he doesn't enjoy

Eek! at Veikko munching away on his greens, lol at him keeping up his strength, he's such a beautiful charming chubby bundle of fluff. So glad he's better after his scare. I love the pics, he looks so pleased with himself and he melts my heart.

Re: The BP Hamily
Thank you alpacassei and Lizzy
Delphia
As Delphia is my first female hamster I had no idea what to expect and to be honest I still have no idea what to expect from her on a daily basis After she got moved in to the hamster room along with brother Veikko she became quite reclusive and jumpy. After a few weeks I was seriously thinking about moving her back as the confident ham that she had been was starting to seem like a distant memory. Of course in typical hamster fashion she went back to her confident self a few days later, probably too confident My little Duchess always looks like butter wouldn't melt but she's a terror. Even after 6 months of her living here she still likes to pretend she can't tell the difference between food and hands However I love her just the same even if she doesn't use her toilet and resembles a mini piranha
