Default Its official, there are good petshops out there

I have always said the pet shop I got my robos from is really good. They actually know their stuff and take good care of the animals in there.

Yesterday I went there for supplies and as usual looked at all the hamsters and fell in love with them all and wanted to take them all home, as you do.

Anyway, They have some robos in at the moment and there was a litter of about 6 in one tank. I was watching them and I noticed one of them looked really unwell. His fur was so matted, he looked like he was soaked and his eyes were stuck shut and he was wandering around slowly for a robo. The rest of the litter kept bugging the poor guy too.

There was one person working in the shop and I went over with my supplies to buy and told him that I thought one of the robos was really ill. Without a second glance, he dropped everything and went to the tank with me, I pointed the little guy out and he went in and took him out and had a look. He said he would take him home with him that night to care for him. He put the little guy in a seperate tank on his own after inspecting him.He did manage to unstick the little mans eyes. It turns out this guy that was on duty breeds robos himself so that made me feel better.

I was so happy to be able to bring this to their attention and not be argued at like so many of you guys have been when you have seen ill pets in shops.

Don't mean to go on so much I just wanted to share this good (ish) news.I just hope the little guy will pull through.

I don't know what was wrong with him.

Lisa x

Ps I am thinking that most of the staff of this shop are breeders themselves as another staff member I have spoken to before breeds parrots. I think its really good to have true experts in a pet shop. And now I know where there is a robo breeder for when I want to get some more yay.

Hey Lisa,

This is really good news, it's brilliant to see you have found a pet shop who actually care about their animals and it's brilliant to see that they are all experts in some kind.

Hope the little guy gets better - let us know if you can.

I went back there today to get a tank for Muddles seeing as him and Star don't like eachother.

The same man (also breeder) was on the till and I asked him how the little guy is getting on. He said he is fine now. Thank god.

I don't know what was wrong exactly but my guess is that he was being bullied by the others whatever he tried to do.
