Hamster moving home
Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on moving my little hamster to a different house? He currently stays with my boyfriend but he is going away for a week and want to know if it's possible to take him to mine for a week and then back home again without causing too much stress?
Thanks in advance

Re: Hamster moving home
I have taken my little ham on road trips and she doesn't seem to mind. As long as you keep him in his current cage I don't think there will be a problem.

Re: Hamster moving home
Yes it's absolutely fine. You'll need to use a carrier for the journey, fill it up with deep bedding and nesting material (just use bedding out of his cage). Also add a piece of veg such as cucumber to keep him hydrated. That's enough for the trip and then when you arrive just leave him in his cage to settle. Just don't change anything in the cage including the bedding & nest when you arrive, and he'll be fine.
