Default Best things to use to clean hamster toys and cages?

I was wondering which dish soap if any would be safe to use to clean hamster toys and the hamster cage. I own meyers dish soap, and I was wondering if it was safe to use to clean. Thanks!

Hi. Are you in the US? I'm not sure what dish soap is Is it like washing up liquid for the dishes? Anything like that diluted in water and not too scented should be fine and then rinse well to help remove any scent (hamsters are very sensitive to scents and other strong smells). I use a bit of Fairy liquid in water (like dish washing water). Just googled Meyers and it says lemon scented? I'd use something without added scents ideally. eg Fairy liquid also comes in lemon scented and it's quite powerful whereas the standard one doesn't smell of much.

I have also used this - has a faint scent but it wears off quickly. Can be good for a cage base and just wash toys in dishwashing water. It's not really necessary to actually disinfect a cage though unless there has been illness or disease. Again things need rinsing well and airing slightly to ensure the scent goes.

Thank you so much! The stuff that I own is scented peony which is quite a strong scent, so maybe I could use the same brand but hand soap? The two scents that I have are Basil and Honeysuckle. Would those work instead? (yes i do live in the us, but I originally mmoved from England)

If you can as Serendipity said get something with as little scent as possible & just rinse really thoroughly.
I just wanted to add that unless something has been peed on or a ham is sick there is usually no need to use anything other than just plain water to wash any toys (I rarely if ever wash most toys) or the cage, the cage doesn't really need washing either tbh.
