Hi turrican I feel incomplete without hamster too. Lollipop was my first but I feel like something is missing. Im sorry to hear about crumble. Where do you get your hamsters from? I got lollipop from petsathome but I’m thinking of adopting one from pets4homes website. I have found this litter of baby Syrian hamster and I’m going to go have a look at them next week. Is there any other places you recommend to get hamsters? Xx

Ghost our third little fur person is so laid back any more and he would be comatose, when he is out he loves exploring and unlike the other two is a demon stair climber, so apart from sleeping in the day time that is all they have in common, except none of them liked strawberries....

Hello rad, I am definitely going to get a new hamster and I will get a different colour.Your hamster that you’ve owned seen all so different. Lollipop was like Houdini and diva. She lived climbing her cage bars and always let me take photos of her xx.

You probably feel extra bad because she was a young hamster and you're worried that you should have done something different. In fact you cared well for her and took her to the vet when you saw she was ill, so you did what you could.
I felt the same when my first hamster Ivy died. She was one and a half and seemed fit and well until she had a stroke and died in my hands. When Daisy died, she was old and was struggling to do even the basic hamster stuff and so i could tell she be gone soon.
I think getting another hamster is a good idea, and don't worry about comparing them to Lollipop, that's only natural. You're bound to say, that s just what Lollipop used to do or the opposite. Why don't you go and look at some hamsters and see how you feel about them.
Hope you feel better soon,
Ruth

Hey Ruth thanks for the support. I’ve placed a few heavy rock on top of lollipops grave just because of the foxes around here. I think lollipop had a stroke as it came on so quickly. I’m sorry to hear about Ivy and daisy. I will be getting a hamster soon I think as I’m going to have a look at some next week. I’m going to see if I bond with any and take it from there. Thanks again
Elise xx
