Default Cage cleaning and palm feeding

On monday I would of had my 3m/o syrian Holly for 3 weeks and been taming for 2 weeks from today. The slight problem is that she keeps mistaking my fingers for food and nipping them, mostly its gentle and I overreact and flinch slightly so she goes in her wheel and ignores me for the rest of the night but today I waiting patiently for around 10min and she put all four paws on my hand (yay) but then when all the food had gone she thought my finger was some more and bit it. I am very happy she likes my hand but I'm wondering how to stop this? I'm thinking that I should wash my hands directly before feeding her as to make my hands smell of soap or just non food scent. Any ideas would be appreciated

The other thing is she's currently on unnamed wood shavings which I stupidly didn't realize could be bad so would like to clean her cage a little early and wondering if the bathtub with toys would be a good place to put her. I don't want her to get stressed and then slow the taming process too much so should I go with her in the bath after cleaning to tame her or just put her back in straight away? And is it safe to leave her unattended in the bath?

Sorry for the over-explaining, I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing

I would wash your hands with unscented soap before hand feeding, they do tend to grow out of that nibbling phase, you could try putting the food on your palm & bury your finger tips in the substrate so they're away from nibbles!
I would keep any cage cleaning & taming sessions completely separate.
Don't leave her in the bath while you clean the cage, you need a carrier ideally with plenty of substrate in the bottom & maybe a few treats or seeds or a chew to keep her safe & happy while you clean.
Which country are you in? On the UK all wood shavings must be kiln dried & dust extracted so are safe but that's not the case in other countries.

I have heard people saying that pine shavings do still have the smell after being kiln-dried so I bought hemp instead, is it ok to use like pets at home woodshavings then? If I bought the carrier would I use that every cleaning session even when she's tame or when travelling? I don't mind spending the money, just as long as its definitely worth it

P@H wood shavings are fine, some hams do seem to be allergic to wood shavings but it's not that common & they are safe to use.
You would use the carrier when cleaning, even when she's tame it's not safe to leave them unattended.
They are useful to have if you did need to travel with your ham & also although we always hope we won't have any vets trips they are pretty much essential for that too.
