Best treat ever for hamsters!?

I want to hear any stories you have of your hamsters' best days ever!

I keep all my mealworms in a korken jar, and I'd just reached the end of a packet. All that was left in the jar was a few piles of broken-up worms. Rather than let them go to waste, I gave all of my hams ten seconds in the jar each (one at a time!).

It was brilliant! It was like watching hungry hippos or the end of the crystal maze. Each one had a second of 'Eh? What's this?' before immediatly grabbing as much as they could and stuffing it in their pouches! Each one had nice full pouches afterwards, and me and my partner were nearly crying with laughter at their happy little faces.

Now obviously having that many worms at once isn't great for their health, so it won't be a regular thing, but for a one-off I'm sure it's fine - and they obviously loved it!

Has anyone else given their hamsters a treat like this? What happened? Would you reccomend it?

It's great when we see them enjoy something so much!

My hamster Winston escaped once.. I then found the big bag of monkey nuts ripped open and a few broken bits of shell around. This helped me figure out he's probably hiding in some dark place with a stash of stolen goodies. A couple minutes later I found him underneath my chest of drawers guarding his precious mountain of monkey nuts haha. This made me realise they were his favourite, so at the vets before he was PTS I gave him his last monkey nut and he instantly pouched it, so I'm sure he's filling his face over rainbow bridge with his favourite treat.

That's adorable! Years ago when I was a kid, I had a Syrian called Hamish. He escaped overnight, but in the morning I saw him instantly - on my brother's big toy fire engine! Must have had a great time all night climbing all over it.
