Finally, my new Syrian is here!
I finally picked up my new baby Syrian today because it's my birthday tomorrow and my mum gave me some birthday money. I only went to Pets At Home to have a look, I didn't expect to find anyone (hence why he's in a temp cage, I'm ordering the Barney tomorrow) since for months now all the pet shops near me have ONLY had golden banded Syrians and I already have a long hair golden banded.
I believe he's around 8 weeks old or possibly younger? They didn't tell me. There's a little swell where his testicles should be but when I got my first Syrian at 12 weeks old he already had full grown testicles.. so I'm hoping he is actually a boy and just doesn't have any yet. I'm sure my current male Syrian will soon let me know if it's actually a girl..
I'm really stuck for a name though. I was gonna call him Todd but he doesn't really look like a Todd!
So meet nameless baby Syrian.. ^_^ I will try to get better photos later on tonight when he's settled a bit.

Congratulations on getting your new Syrian! What a cutie! That’s great that he’s already pretty tame and friendly! I like the name Todd for him! Keep us updated on how he’s settling in!

Thanks everyone! It's so strange to see how Syrians can have such different personalities. I've only had Todd for a couple hours and I can already see he's so different to my first Syrian. He's much more curious and active, my first is a laid-back cuddly little dude. My boyfriend did manage to give Todd a little stroke, he's very trusting and tame, but is definitely a lot more energetic. I can't wait to get to know him properly!

He is adorable - lovely colouring! I see what you mean about the name - he has a soft colouring that isn't Todd-like Although if you like the name I'm sure it would fit once you get used to it.
Maybe a friendly kind of name - Buddy?!

He is a little cracker, Todd isn't a bad name but you could call him Barney he looks like a Barney to me..
