Using my Dwarfs items for Syrian
Hi all, so today I adopted a female syrian. Im worried she hasnt drank yet and cant figure out the new water bottle as its not what shes used to. So I used my Dwarfs old water bowl. I know Syrians are quite territorial but does it matter if its a dwarfs old things?

So long as it's washed and cleaned and disinfected other than wooden items, then yes I don't think it matters so long as its clean and disinfected.

It's fine to use things like that which can be washed & won't retain the scent of another ham.

Re: Using my Dwarfs items for Syrian
Thanks guys, I read online that its fine to use toys but not food n water bowl, that does seem odd. The new Syrian is really active on her first night and hasnt slept more than 5 minutes since i brought her home. Is this normal when you first get a hamster? I cant remember my first night last time exactly

Some go crazy exploring everything while some will hide away completely, I'm not sure there is a normal for hams
