30 days of June 2018
Hello! I’m super excited to be doing one of these threads! It’s been a dream of mine since first joining these forums
I’ll start with a little bit of an “about me”
I’m Drago, I’m a student, and love animals. I specifically love working toward the common goal of bettering the conditions of animals in captivity. Biology, genetics, and pet care are the interests most of you know me for. However, I have more of a personality (I know, surprising)
I enjoy art a lot. I like to draw and play instruments. I also enjoying viewing, critiquing, and analyzing art pieces. Along with art, sports are a huge love of mine. I’m running at a highly competitive level. I also love psychology and sociology. Politics are another big intrigue of mine, but I won’t talk about that around here!
Sadly, I’m hamsterless (what?? A whole month by someone who doesn’t even have a ham?? Sadly, yes. I hope that I won’t bore you guys too much!)
The first day will be hamster related. I recently went to the pet store to buy my Gerbs their seed mix and I saw the cutest little Chinesey! He came right up to the glass when he saw me and placed his paw on the glass.
Anywho, looking forward to the rest of the month

I'm looking forward to June with you Drago, though I have no idea how you could have left that cute Chinesey in the pet store

What a handsome little ham to begin the month Drago, he's gorgeous! I'm sure I would have had trouble leaving him at the store too!
Look forward to the rest of the month.

Re: 30 days of June 2018
This is a wonderful start to your thread, Drago. It is always so lovely to get to know more about our friends on HC and all of their loves and interests. I also am surprised that you had the willpower to not bring that gorgeous, adorable Chinesey home with you. I definitely wouldn't have been able to help myself and would be happily bringing another amazing ham into my life, lol. Great pic of the pet store ham!!!! I look forward to following the rest of the month.

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Hey all! Sorry I didn’t get to post yesterday- I ended up having to go to the hospital to get some blood tests done. Lately I’ve been having some pretty bad health issues sadly. I’m severely anemic, which is unusual for me as I’ve always had very good levels. I’ve been battling the issue for a month now, but it seems to be worsening sadly. Hopefully the doctors can sort this out soon.
Today I’m going to share my trip to the nearby beach. Stayed out in a pretty remote area of an island so it was quiet, and beautiful. I saw several foxes when sitting outside at night. It’s beautiful to see, and be surrounded by nature. My favorite part though, was walking around the beach at night. Around 1-3 am, I would walk across the beaches to stargaze, and see what strange animals had washed up. I was pretty surprised to know that at this time of year, thousands of “Ghost Crabs” also took late night strolls! Some were incredibly small, perhaps smaller than a quarter; while others were bigger than my hand! It was hard to walk on the beach sadly, as hundreds of them crawled over, and beneath, your feet. Though I still did enjoy stargazing

I’m still working on getting the images imbedded Forgive me. I was thinking, how about a QOTD in each of my posts for all of you guys??
Well here’s today’s: what’s your favorite food?

Re: 30 days of June 2018
I am so very sorry to hear that you are battling severe anemia and had to go to the hospital yesterday. I hope that the doctors will be able to decisively know what is causing it to worsen and cure you completely. This sounds awful, and my heart goes out to you. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us updated on how your are doing because we really care. We are here for you, Drago.
Your stargazing stroll on the beach sounds lovely. I am so glad that the you were able to witness the cast of "Ghost Crabs", too. That must have been an awesome sight and a bit ticklish, too, lol. I love seeing them, but I have never seen them in that number before. I love all of those gorgeous photos, especially the first one and (of course) the friendly crab.
I think it is a wonderful idea to add a QOTD in each of your posts; I think that will be lots of fun. Hmmn. . . I really have too many favorite foods to name just one, lol. If I had to choose, I can narrow it down to my favorite three foods in no particular order: 1. crispy Thai roast duck (so long as it is cooked properly and not too fatty) in Panang curry, 2. eggplant parmesan served with angel hair pasta, and 3. Death-By-Chocolate molten lava cake served A La Mode (sorry, I can't help but have a desert listed, too, lol). Thankfully for my waistline, I don't indulge in these that frequently, lol.

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Sorry to hear you're not well Drago, hope you begin to feel better soon.
The beach looks wonderful, what a great place & the wild life sounds quite amazing too.
I don't think I could pick just one favourite food... unless coffee counts

Lovely beach pictures, it looks so peaceful
I think I'd probably have to say pizza is my favourite food
Sorry to hear you've been having health problems Drago, I really hope the tests can get to the bottom of it and you will be back to health soon.
