Re: 30 days of June 2018
Hi Drago. Apologies for only just catching up with your thread - been a bit hectic! The beach photos are gorgeous - makes me want to go there. Your Rabbit is GORGEOUS. The critters are interesting! And seeing that frog has just reminded me I need to change the tadpoles water (we caught some tadpoles recently and they are growing - do hope they make it to frogs!) Do you have any recommendations for feeding them. So far they have a couple of plant roots and itty bits of boiled spinach and lettuce. And some rocks to hide under from the river where we caught them (kind of familiar and with stuff growing on them).
Favourite food - mine varies depending how I feel each week! But probably - cake - lol!
So sorry you are having the anaemia issue - you must be tired. I hope it gets sorted swimmingly very soon.

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Serendipity, I would try giving the tadpoles some algae tablets made for bottom feeding fish. Such as these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hikari-AHK2...s=algae+wafers
You can also offer them some egg yolk. Some people will even give them bits of cooked chicken! They're bottom feeders naturally, eating algae, decaying plant matter, and decaying organisms (sometimes even their own kind ). Good luck growing these little critters!
I just realized I've been posting these in the late evening for me, but it's close to, or after, midnight for most of you across the pond So sorry about that. Today I will introduce my two lovely canine, Bella and Phoebe.
Phoebe is the "puppy" even though she's a year and a half now She is by far the craziest dog I've ever owned. She has so much energy, that even a 6 mile run won't tire her out! Despite her high energy, love to play, and obsession with stealing socks- I still love her. Even though I'm now missing several socks, the sight of her trotting down the stairs wagging her little tail with a sock in her mouth, is much too cute for me to be angry!
My other dog is Bella. She's the old lady of the house, at a ripe age of 11 years old. She sadly, has cancer, but seems to be going strong despite this. She is the total opposite of Phoebe. She hates running, playing, or doing much of anything that isn't sleeping or eating! She's my heart dog though, and I love her to death- even if all she does is curl up and snore at my feet lol

Today's QOTD: Do you have a dog?
I won't answer this one as the post should explain it well!

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Aww, Phoebe and Bella are SO adorable; it is wonderful that your dogs are the exact opposites so you have the best of both worlds. I had to laugh that Phoebe keeps snatching your socks and won't even tire after a six mile run (totally impressive). Bella sounds so sweet and cuddly, snoring at your feet - totally love that sweetness. I am so sorry that Bella has cancer, I will be praying with all of my heart that she will maintain her strength and be with you for several more years. Both of them are absolutely gorgeous and I love their expressions. It is so lovely that they sleep together. Awesome pics of your two dogs. I especially love Phoebe's being cute pic; her expression is just priceless and makes me smile.
No, I currently do not have any dogs. However, I had four very beloved dogs in the past. I had two German Shepherds, one English Springer Spaniel, and one Black Labrador Retriever mix. I really miss having my own dog and hope to have one again in the future. Luckily, I spend lots of my time spoiling and playing with my family members' dogs.

Re: 30 days of June 2018
What fascinating wildlife you have Drago, though I don't think I would be able to cope with such warm temperatures and the humidity
Your dogs are lovely, I don't think I could be mad at those lovely faces if they were to steal my socks. In fact I'd probably open the drawer for them
I have never been horseriding, it's not been something I've ever fancied doing really and I don't have a dog

Re: 30 days of June 2018
BP ah yes, the temps and humidity can be a bit hard to manage at times. I do most of my biking and running in the late evening so as to avoid the sweltering heat. If any of you travel to the Southern US, you'll know the meaning of the "Southern Sun"
Dreamtree aww all your dogs sound lovely! What were their names?
Today, I will share some of the geographical intrigues in our area! Most of my state is made up of pine, and marshlands. The soil is primarily clay and sand, with little rich soil. It's a very wet land, with numerous lakes, ponds, rivers, and marshes. The particular area of the state I live in, is quite urbanized, but a majority of the state is very backwoods. We have a lovely beach (emerald green waters) and huge mountains on the other side of the state. So if you love the classic "Southeastern" forests- this is the place for you.

A huge swamp about 20 miles from my house. I bike here quite often, and enjoy the beauty of it.

This is a huge lake about 2 miles from my house. I enjoy fishing here on Sundays
Today's QOTD: Do you have a favorite song?
my favorite is: From Now On We Are Enemies, by Fall Out Boy

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Lovely photos of Bella and Phoebe Drago, they do look adorable, Phoebe sounds like a real character lol! I am sorry to hear about Bella having cancer, glad she is coping so well.
Great to see more of your area too.
I don't have a dog any more, I do miss having one & have had a Lab, Dalmatian, border collie & greyhound in the past.
Favourite song is too hard to answer, can't just have one!

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Love your dogs! They look like miniature Schnautzers. Your area looks beautiful and interesting and bike riding round there sounds good! Have an urge to take up cycling myself after we've done it on holiday a couple of times recently - but I'd want an electric mountain bike due to various medical things, and they cost a fortune! Moving the tadpoles from their bucket into a little tank now

Re: 30 days of June 2018
Your surrounding area looks very beautiful and definitely is ideal for tons of different wildlife species to call it home. Your bike rides sound like so much fun and rejuvenating to be surrounded by all of these sights. I have never desired to go fishing, but most of my family members enjoy it; I much prefer boating or canoeing at a lake instead,
My German Shepherds' names were Yoyo (due to him always being a bit on the hyper side) and Heidi. My English Springer Spaniel was named Princess Aurora (after Sleeping Beauty, but we usually referred to her as Princess). My Black Labrador Retriever mix''s name was Tux because his markings made him look like he was wearing a tuxedo.
Wow, I have way too many favorite songs to list them all, but here are just a few of them! They are listed in no particular order.
1. Perfect by Ed Sheeran
2. What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong
3. Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle
4. Don’t Take the Girl by Tim McGraw
5. I Cross My Heart by George Strait
6. The Rose by Bette Midler
7. Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman
8. Ave Maria by Celtic Woman
9. Shatter Me by Lindsey Sterling, featuring Lzzy Hale
10. Palladio by Karl Jenkins
11. O by Coldplay
12. What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction
13. Love Story by Taylor Swift
14. If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks
15. I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You by Tina Arena and Marc Anthony
16. I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith
17. My Immortal by Evanescence
18. Bring Me To Life by Evanescence
Serendipity, I hope that your adorable tadpoles grow up to be healthy and happy frogs. I'm sure they will love their upgrade into a tank. Are you planning on raising frogs as a pet, or are you keeping them for a short while and then releasing them back into the wild later?

Re: 30 days of June 2018
The bottom two pictures are like chalk and cheese! The second looks quite brown (apart from the sky) and the third looks so lush and green
I wouldn't know where to start with favourite song, it all depends on what sort of mood I'm in at any given time

BP, I totally understand exactly where you are coming from. I feel the exact same way. I just love too many songs, and different moods make me love and appreciate one song more than another at various times. I finally just decided to stop adding to my list because it was already getting way too long and I started feeling like I was compiling a playlist, lol.
