Re: Sterling and Franc
I'm sorry that they had a falling out as I know that you were hoping that they would be able to be together, but it is for the best for the two of them. As Cypher mentioned, this typically happens. I am glad that you were able to separate them before either of them were injured. Now, both Franc and Sterling will be able to settle in and live their lives in peace.

I was hoping for them to live together, but if they have to be seperated in order to be happy, I'm happy for it.

Re: Sterling and Franc
Update!
Franc hasn't been screaming now at me, but I noticed a large amount of "poop" in the smaller house, and he seems to be always constantly on his wheel but isn't screaming anymore which seems to be good, I'll be checking on Sterling soon as well.

Re: Sterling and Franc
Just a question, so when I was setting up Franc's Duna Multy, he was already there while I bought the wood shavings, he was screaming at me when I was adding wood shavings so I added a small pack which is 1 kg. I want to give another, when should I do it? Is it bad if I add more shavings while he's still new?
EDIT: He did stop screaming and being stressed after a few hours of being left alone, so he doesn't mind my hands now.

Re: Sterling and Franc
Congratulations on the new ones! They look absolutely adorable. Sorry to hear that they had a fallout though.
Generally they would get annoyed if you try to add/renove things when they're still inside the cage. It's better if you remove Franc from his cage when you dump in more bedding. You could place him in a playpen until you're done sorting out the cage.
I think it would be best if you could provide him all the substrate needed now, since he's still very new to the new cage. Adding it once he's more used to the cage can cause him stress all over again as he tries to adapt to additional substrate.

Thank you! I will try to do that.
As well as an update for both of them.
Sterling has been handling it very well after his brother's removal in his cage.
Franc has been very happy being alone and less bullied, doesn't scream anymore but still cautious.

Re: Sterling and Franc
Thanks everyone!
Next week, once I get a little bit taming with them I'll give them a proper introduction!

Re: Sterling and Franc
Franc and Sterling are adorable. I really like their names. I hope they are both settling in well to their new homes well - glad you managed to separate their fight I'm sure they both will enjoy their own cage and wheels. Looking forward to hearing more about them both.
