Thanks everyone! He is so much more adorable in person. I can't wait to take a thousand photos once he's settled in!

He's spent most of the last six hours in his wheel. He eats, he drinks, he runs around his cage for a bit and then it's straight back in the wheel. Sleep does not appear to be on the agenda yet. Though turfing half his dry food out of the dish does! I guess that one peanut at the bottom must have been so much better than the two on top, right?

Congrats on getting your little darling; he looks absolutely adorable!!! I love his expression in the gorgeous pic of him. He sounds like he is having an awesome time in his cage. Lol, dumping the other two, top peanuts out in order to get the more delicious one on the bottom! He is such a silly ham and made me giggle. I'm sure the two of you will have the greatest time together. Lol, I look forward to seeing your thousands of pics when he is settled in, too. He is just TOO cute!!!

It lovely that you welcomed a new hamster home. That must have been a difficult time losing your pets so near together. But I'm so pleased to hear that he has found an amazing loving home with you - he is such a lucky hamster. Beautiful photo he is so adorable.
Typical hamster the food at the bottom of their bowl is apparently a lot more nicer than the same pieces on the top - my Pumpkin also turfs her way down to the bottom of the bowl to get pieces out to.
I am so looking forward to hearing more about him.

He is so cute, isn't he? I can't wait to cuddle him. Pumpkin sounds adorable, SKB! I'll have to go and read through her thread.

His name is now Wallace. Someone I live with saw him, thought of Wallace and Gromit for some reason and... yeah. I think it suits him.

Wallace made a bed where I put his toilet, then left a load of droppings next to his food dish. He's since dismantled the potty bed and moved back into the corner house. He had a nice go at whimzee chew last night as well.

He's really inquisitive--keeps coming close to the bars whenever someone stops to watch him and watches them right back. It's like a staring contest lol.

I think I'll make a thread in the Syrian section about him soon.

It's been a difficult year and a bit, but seeing this guy's happy little face helps a lot. I also have an ever-grumpy but adorable Guinea pig to keep me company as well. Her name is Sparkles, but I sometimes call her Grumples when she's being particularly cheeky.
