Hellobg. Im assuming its the zoozone 1. Its called medium?
I didnt realise the saucer was unsuitable.
I might have to look into my local pet store about those sized wheels. Might even take my tape measure along with me just in case. Such a shame. I read most people recommending the saucer for this cage.

Serendipity7000 thank you so much for all those links. He is a syrian.

Talking about bedding, if i make a burrow box should it be with the substrate or tissue?

If it's the Zoozone 1 (about 75cm by 45cm) then Hellobg is right, a 12" flying saucer wouldn't fit well really. Syrians need a 12" flying saucer or an upright wheel ideally about 11" diameter. The Zoozone 2 is 100 cm long. If you measure it you'll know which one it is

It's suitable, but what I mean is, it will take way too much space in a Zoozone 1 Medium cage.
It's okay in a Zoozone 2 cage, If you can't look into your local pet store, consider buying several Trixie Wheels from Zooplus, if they have one.

I have done a bit of searching online. Seems like most upright wheels for syrians does not fit properly.
I might have to exchange it for the zoozone large. Which will delay purchasing the hamster but it will be for the best. I would much rather have more space for him.

Why not try and get the Alaska Hamster Cage instead? It seems you are from the UK. It's much better as you don't have to mesh the bars and it's quite large as well.

I have bought the Barney cage
Thought if im going to change the cage might aswel get one as big as the space i have provides.
Im going to return the saucer wheel for the trixie wheel. I will have plenty of space on the cage floor for enrichment toys without the saucer.

The Barney Cage is an excellent choice, glad you bought it. As for the saucer wheel, it will be okay in Barney too since it's 100 cm longer.
