Hi all, it's been a while!

Thought I'd check in..little guy is coming to the door as soon as I go through and sit down now! He does have the occassional "flip" without warning when I'm handling him..luckily I don't walk around with him, I think it is more a learning curve.

I sent a video to the lady who runs the rescue and she said she was suprised how friendly he was! He's had his first cage clean and didn't strop too much though I noticed he didn't have any food stores and when I weighed him he was just 86g! I thought he looked a bot skinny when climbing the bars.

He is on his wheel so much so i'm going to feed a little extra and see if that helps. I weighed him tonight and he was 100g! I don't see how he'd grow 15g in a week so I think perhaps he must have been wriggly the first time. I did it 3 times and he came out 100g each time which i'm much happier at. Im going to continue weekly.

He has got a few new bits in his cage..he liked the hammocks but I have put wooden bridges in now, kept one hammock and he seems to be using all the cage more...including the strawberry for a wee corner grrr!

Here was the little guy hanging out!

Aww, I totally LOVE his latest pic! He looks like he is having the greatest time in his new hammock, lol. He is so awesome and very, VERY handsome!

Beautiful photo of Boromir on his hammock. Its so sweet that he comes over to the cage door when you sit down sound like he enjoys his time spent with you. It so lovely that you shared a videos of him to the lady who runs the rescue she must feel so happy to know Boromir is in a wonderful home and that he is happy!

Hi All,

Happy to report that Boromir has continued to put on weight and seems to have leveled at 115g. I'm quite happy with that and his belly isn't looking so scraggy and rib cagey now.

I did a spot clean last night though and he still doesn't have food stores..not sure if he is now eating enough or should have more. He really loves his wheel! He is still a bit unpredictable and gets a tad jumpy so when I handle him I am cautious..can't smoosh my face into him but we enjoy our free ranging together. He's a sweet soul, happy tottering along...he is getting up later and later mind..usually 11.30pm!

He tried some spaghetti the other night and seemed to approve

I'm so glad that Boromir has put on some more weight, and he is doing so well. Hopefully, he will become less jumpy with time and you will have plenty of opportunities to smoosh your face into him one day, lol. I totally understand the love of kissing a beloved ham; Eros gets plenty of my kisses daily. Wow, he really does get up late; maybe it is because of the season. Aww, Boromir looks so precious and content sucking up his spaghetti noodle; I just love that pic of your cutie.

Aww bless him with his spaghetti! He looks so sweet there.
Good to hear he's gaining weight, he looks healthy & sounds happy, settling in well, I'm sure he'll continue to settle more with time.

Hi all!

I'm busy with work atm so not on the forum much.

Boromir has held 120g the past few weeks now which i'm really happy about, he doesn't look scrawny anymore and while this is still on the smaller side for a syrian boy I'm happy with it.

He continues to be a little elusive, not coming out until past 11pm but he likes to sit in his new wicker tube listening to me tell him about my day. He totters out and has a little run in his ball and on the sofa and we have some strokes.

He isn't the snuggliest ham I've had but it suits us both fine and I enjoy watching him have a nosey around and run on his wheel which he adores.

We even managed a HOM entry

Hope everyone is all doing well

Boromir hasn't been out much with the heat. He has a plate under his house to sleep on though & he's been having chilled cucumber.

Tonight though, as the ratties & I had some corn on the cob, it was only fair he got some too
