Today I am introducing my very sweet little Danish Princess.

Officially named Kwo's Junco Vulcani at Metallica, little Juno arrived in the UK in April 2017 via Houten and Vectis Hamstery. Originally destined as one of the betrothed of Lord James, I decided that for welfare reasons not to risk a mating with her.

Unfortunately poor little Juno had become unwell with respiratory problems shortly after her arrival in the UK but with Vectis's fantastic care, she pulled through and came to live at Metallica Hamstery on 13th May 2017. Juno was however left with what we believe to be scarring in her respiratory tract which causes her to have a cough and she has never been able to grow into her full adult size... Juno is still only 24g despite the fact that she will be a year old on 20th March.

Juno doesn't let her lack of size hold her back and she loves to play, climb and explore her world. She loves to beg for seeds and do her housekeeping just like my old dear Jessie used to. Her nicknames are Juniebug, Little Bug and Tiny Mouse.

Lovely pictures of Matthew looking as handsome as ever and Juno is just so pretty. I love the picture of her with her paw on the box

I think that last photo of Juno is my favourite of her, she's such an adorable little thing

Today I thought I'd introduce Vectis's Cora Josephine at Metallica. Born in July 2017, Cora arrived at Metallica Hamstery in October 2017 as another possible wife for Lord James. At the time of Cora's arrival, I was becoming concerned as all the other wives I had chosen for James had proven to be unsuccessful or had died, so little Cora had a lot resting on her shoulders.

Thankfully Cora was bred from rather fertile parents and didn't disappoint. She gave birth to seven babies on 19th November 2017. She was a very tolerant mother and put up with being shouted at rather a lot by her demanding offspring.

Now separated from her babies (four of which have now left for their new homes) Cora is enjoying living independently. She's a busy girl, and builds rather impressive nests and food stores. Cora is not an overly affectionate hamster, preferring to be doing things rather than sitting for cuddles but she always comes up to say hello when I walk in the hamster room.

I'm continuing on with introducing the Metallica Chineseys and today is the turn of Captain Jack S. Cormes of Metallica.

Jack is one of the sons of James and Cora and at 44g has just surpassed the weight of his father and is also 3g larger than Matthew was at the same age. Prior to living independently, Jack lived with his brother Alexander but they were separated at eight weeks old due to squabbling. Like his father and his brother, jack is rather a snuggly young man...

Trivia: The 'S' in Jack's name stands for Sparrow and he is named after the Pirates of The Caribbean character Captain Jack Sparrow.

I've already mentioned a little bit about Alexander in Jack's post so I though I'd introduce him next...

Lord Alexander J. Cormes of Metallica was born on 19th November 2017 and lived with his brother Jack for a while until they were separated just before Bradford Champs. Alex made his show debut at Bradford Champs and at his second show in Bath came away with two fourth placings. He is now 10g smaller than his brother Jack but could very well take after his father and hit a later growth spurt. He's a sweet lad, very snuggly but also rather lazy.

Trivia: The 'J' in Alexander's name stands for James after his father but Alexander's first name comes from Alexander Van Halen, co-founder of the hard rock band Van Halen. Alex is the heir presumptive to the Earldom which means that he will inherit his father's title as the Earl of Metallica.

So today I'm introducing the last of the current Metallica chineseys with Miss Louise K. Cormes, the small but bright daughter of Lord James and Cora Josephine.

Louise was born on 19th November 2017, the only girl in the litter. Louise unfortunately was thrown into the deep end when it came to adjusting to life on her own as her mother began bullying her after the six boys left and consequently Louise was living on her own at the age of just four weeks.

She's doing okay, although has been rather slow to grow and is currently going through a bit of a nibbly phase but I'm sure that it's nothing we can't overcome in time. She's a quick learner though and is a busy and active little girl.

Trivia: The 'K' in Louise's name stands for Keane and the name is based on the real name of entertainer Dillie Keane (Louise Miriam Keane). Louise is also named after a song called 'Hey Louise' which was sung by Neil Diamond in the 1980 film 'The Jazz Singer'.
