Default sleepy hamster.

My hamster is asleep on my lap in a ball under the computer.(probably because it is warm.)
Is this normal for my hamster to be asleep on me?
he does this regularly.

I would remove him from the ball for one reason alone. It will overheat and he could become too warm. Hamster balls are only supposed to be used for short use and not more than ten minutes or less. I never used them at all as I see them as an unnecessary tool. A hamster has a wheel to run on and also runs around inside the cage, so if they are let outside the cage, it`s best to do small playtimes in an enclosed (safe) area and only for five to ten minutes while you sit with them. Keeping them low down at all times.

He sounds like a very chilled hamster Although they can sometimes feel stressed if in a ball too long. I second the idea of a playpen You can sit in it with him as well maybe.
