Gorgeous little lads. <3
Our Poundland hasn’t had anything decent in the way of tealight holders for ages... they didn’t even have any for Christmas.,

I thought three might be too easy
That definitely has to qualify as Chinesey cuteness overload!

So glad someone else uses pound land tealight holders as hamster huddles. I was always worried they'd be frowned upon, but knowing you pros use them makes me feel much more comfortable.

So many gorgeous hammy photos! Love the winter white and campbells ones, and Rogue doing his training. And I bet the four hammies in the house are happy all huddled up together

My hamster cages are a museum of the last few years of Poundland's tealight holder ranges! Much cheaper and better designed than many actual hamster houses.
Rogue enjoyed playing the bucket game tonight - he's really getting the hang of it!

Last night Majestica finally stood so Georgic tried to woo her. He's a lovely smooshy boy, the son of Tuftyfluff's Romeo Romeo and my Naronia. He's never been the most ... effective husband and so hasn't had any pups to date despite many ladyfriends over his 2years and 9 months. Still, here's hoping!

Awwww, Georgic still game and trying at his great age. His parents were stunners too so the line is worth preserving. Fingers and everything else crossed Vectis.

Re: Photo Month Thread - February 2018
I have been catching up with the last few days and have thoroughly enjoyed reading every post and seeing all the adorable photos.
Lovely to see Djeli with his celebratory treats on his well deserved HOM win - love seeing his photo on the front page. All your campbells look so sweet!
Rogue looks he has been having fun and has been working hard on his training!
Beautiful photos of some of his Chinese hamsters - I wouldn't have guessed that their were 4 hamsters in that hideaway must have been cosy and warm in there!
Georgic looks very handsome for his age - I hope he managed to charm Majestic with his good looks!

Re: Photo Month Thread - February 2018
Aww, so many gorgeous and totally adorable hammy pics! I especially love the pics of the 4 cuddly hams who were snuggling in the tea light holder. It sure is impressive that they all were able to fit in there so well, lol. I also love all the pics of Rogue enjoying himself with training, etc. Georgic is quite handsome and I surely hope that it works out great for his pairing with the gorgeous Majestica; wishing that darling, healthy pups will soon be on their way.
Btw, what is Rogue's bucket game. Most of my family members have some dogs and are always interested in finding new ways to entertain them so I thought the bucket game sounded quite interesting.

Rogue is definitely eyeing that bucket. I am wondering what happened next lol. Georgic is lovely - I hope it goes well.

It's actually Chirag Patel's Bucket Game The aim is that the dog focuses on the bucket. It can be used as a consent/choice signal for husbandry, e.g. the dog looks at the bucket when comfortable being groomed, have nails clipped etc, and when s/he looks away the dog is given a break. We are still working on duration, but I'm using it more as a calming behaviour so working on calmness when shaping.
Sorry for missing yesterday - one of those days! I'd got planned showing you some Chineseys.
This lady is Red Scharron, known as Red. She's a chunky lady who is feisty with other Chinese hamsters but lovely to humans. She's not a fan of going to shows so mostly stays home. She eventually fell for the charms of a boy hamster and had a big pile of daughters - and one son - in the Redlio litter. I'm still thinking about which girl I'm keeping. I've kept them all longer to give me time to decide:
And now for a little time travel....
Red's mother was Liessa Dragonlady. This is Lia as a baby:
Red's grandmother, Lia's mother, is Herenna the Henna-Haired Harridan, known as Ren. She's an old lady now but still pootling around her cage. Ren was one of the Oaper litter, and is a sister of my King Verence and Fluffagrams's Lord James, so Ren is the aunt of my newest addition little Hal.
Ren's father (Red's great-grandfather) was Mightily Oats, known as Oatsy, who was bred by Doric Hams. He achieved 2 Certificates of Merit and some excellent show results and was a lovely hamster.
Oatsy's father was Wee Jock, whom I bred but who belonged to Doric and was one of her special hams. He also got 2 Certificates of Merit.

And right back at the start was Wee Jock's father (great-great-grandfather to Red), my very special Persil: Small But Mighty. He was brought from Holland by a friend for me in 2012/13 and was a lovely smooshy lad. He also did well at shows and was instrumental in re-starting my Chinese hamster breeding after a difficult time with diabetes and having to stop a lot of breeding due to it.
It's been a long time trying to get the Chinese back to where I want them to be, and they're still very much a work in progress - heads could be broader and ears smaller as well as the perennial issue with colour - but I'm really thrilled with how many generations I've managed to get with *touchwood* good health.
