Great suggestions! Thank you Drago! Myachick and Kiwi would like to go out every night, while Dumpling just prefers to be alone in his little nest and sleeps till the end of the world lol~ 15 min is a reasonable duration to bound with hammies

Lovely photos, I do have a soft spot for sables & Kiwi is a real beauty, adorable photos of Maychick & Dumpling again too.

The amount of time my hams have out of the cage & what they like to do has been very individual for each one really, you know your hams & what they like so just go with that, if you do struggle with the late nights you could try waking them up a little earlier.

Thank you Cypher, for your sweet words! I'm going to try to wake them up 15min earlier and I will see how it goes.

Today I would like to share the hamster weight records with you. If you would like to share your opinions or the situations of your hammies, please do not hesitate to tell me your experience.

I have made several table and charts according to the daily weight measurement of Myachick and Dumpling, and Kiwi's occasional records.

Here is the chart of weight records from Myachick & Dumpling over 127 days. I will update the chart and tables at the end of this month to see the difference.

Chart.jpg

Here are the tables of their monthly weight and the corresponding monthly increasing rate. And we could see from this table that Male Syrian Hamsters grow fastest between 5 month and 6 month old.

Last but not least, please enjoy Myachick's chilling daily pictures:

You're very well organised with your charts! My records all tend to be scribbled notes in a diary!
Great photos & vid of Myachick once again, such a relaxed little man

Unhappy Re: Bonne Année à tout le monde!! - Hamster Month thread :)

Thank you Cypher and Drago! I really love to keep a track of their health conditions.

I think I might need to take Myachick to clinic tomorrow since I have discovered that his left rear paw is visibly swollen and bigger than the other one. However, I recalled that I have noticed it for quite a while (at lease 1.5 months) but I did not pay attention since it looked just a bit thicker than the other.

However, when I placed him in my hand to sleep today, I found that his left rear paw is visibly bigger and it feels obviously warmer than the other rear paw. It feels a bit liquid inside, I assume there is inflammation down there.

I scheduled a vet tomorrow at 9 am to see what is really going on. I am very so worried and guilty that I could have paid more attention to him.

Do you have any idea what it is and how it is going to heal?

Here is his right paw, which is normal:

However, from far it is visible that his left paw is swollen:

Closer look for left paw:

Wink Re: Bonne Année à tout le monde!! - Hamster Month thread :)

After visiting Dr. Andreas Brieger at clinique vétérinaire de la collectivité in South Shore of Montreal, longueil, Myachick was diagnosed that he had a small fracture down in the left rear paw (several months ago) and it has been recovered by itself already. Doctor Brieger said he does not suffer or in pain since there is no limb when Myachick walks and he himself wouldn't even bring his own pet to clinic if he found his pet have such symptom.

I feel so released that he is not in pain and he is in good health condition. Doctor Brieger has 15 years of experience treating exotic animals, which is very rare in Québec (I guess most experienced doctors would move to somewhere paying much more than Québec). I feel so lucky that I could have him to be Myachick's doctor.

That is very good news that his foot is healing on its own and that he feels no pain. It must be great to know you have such a great vet on hand I love your pictures of your beautiful hammies

Sunny,
C'est une très bonne nouvelle à propos de Myachick, vous êtes très chanceux d'avoir un tel vétérinaire habile...
I hope that sounds right I have a feeling I have done something wrong in my translation...
Myachick looks such a stunning a well behaved little dude he has real camera presence, where as,
Ghost est juste fou et ne reste pas immobile pour les photos..!

Adorable photos of Myachick
Good to hear that he's healed & not in any pain from the old fracture.
