Default Hamster Help

Cece is a very inquisitive hamster. She seems to love to explore. She doesn’t use her wheel, so I’m guessing that it’s too small for her size. Cece’s cage is a habitrail, obviously too small for a hamster, especially a Syrian, to live there long term. Her food doesn’t have enough nutrients to sustain her for long term, and she is housed in cedar shavings, which are known to cause numerous respiratory infections that can eventually lead to death. I feel extremely bad for her, but sadly, there is nothing I can do as my parents won’t let me have a hamster, and I fear that if I asked my cousin to take her in order for her to have a happier life, I would offend him. This is a strange predicament which I’m sadly certain many have encountered themselves. I wish I could take her home with me, since I’m pretty sure that, with everything that I’ve learned, I would be able to take care of her properly. Please advise me on what I should do.
