Default What technique do you use to get pictures of hamsters

How do you people get your hammies to stay still long enough to take pictures of them? If hamsters can have ADHD then I'm sure Ares has it :P

Food/treats can help. But patience is often needed to. Timing the photo shoot when they are less active may work.

Some of my hamsters are better at posing than others but in a lot of cases, the photoshoots involve just hoping for one that is not blurred once you press the shutter button. Sometimes if your camera has a sports mode, this can help you get a nice shot or you can try increasing the shutter speed.

A lot of my best photos have been taken whilst just watching them in their cages or at playtime just behaving as they would normally do.
