Hi & welcome to HC
It would be hard to give any kind of summary of care or feeding in just a few tips but if you have a browse around the different forum sections you'll find lots of helpful info & if you have any specific questions just ask & someone will help.
Feeding will depend to some extent on where you are as different foods are only available in certain countries, syrians & dwarf hams do need different foods, a dwarf will probably not eat much more than a teaspoon of food a day & a syrian about a tablespoon. You have to allow a bit extra for them to make a food hoard too.

Welcome to HC!
To get the first basic info about hamsters is check out some youtube videos on it and look at some threads about basic hamster care.

. Do your research! That is so important
. And don't do exactly what people say: what they say works for them and their hamster, you should tweak it to suit you and your hamster.
. Don't rush the taming prosses, if your hamster isn't happy he/she will never trust you, thus will never get tame.
. Take the time to get to know your hamster, it can become useful in seeing signs of illness
. Try not to wake your hamster up during the day, they'll get mad at you (see it like your hamster tearing the roof off of your bedroom and dragging you up to play with it, you wouldn't like it)
. Spot clean the cage, it really helps with odour control!
. Litter train your hamster (find out how to on youtube), this will help so much for odour control, as only hamster wee smells.
. Don't put the cage somewhere noisy, near drafts, near other pets, near radiators.
. And for YouTube I suggest ErinsAnimals
