I think the name Lola really suits her although Marmite would have been cute too - as other didn’t like her whereas you did!

We decided to use Marmite as a nickname for her, yesterday she climbed on my hand without giving her treats and I manged to handle her for a few minutes so taming is happening really fast.

Re: Meet Lola!
Hi everyone,
I'm back again after a VERY long hiatus from this forum,
I'm so sorry it has taken so long for me to update you all on my lovely little Lola!
She has turned into quite the Houdini ham, I have had to put binder clips on the doors of her cage as she has figured out how to open them!
It was about a month ago when I went to the pet room, to feed everyone and to change waters.
I was going about my usual routine until I noticed in the corner of eye to my surprise that there was a little black fluffball running across the floor!
I then sprung into action trying to retrieve Lola and place her back into her cage, but then she ran underneath the sofa! So I moved it to try and get her but then I discovered she made a hole underneath, and she had gone into there so it was impossible to get her out!
So I ended up having to put her cage onto the floor with the doors left open, as I had to go to work. I was worrying about her all the time whilst I was there hoping she found her way back to her cage.
When I got back home I quickly ran upstairs to go check on her and I was relieved to find her in her cage munching away at her food. So I closed her doors and left her alone, considering she already had quite the adventure but at this point I was not aware that she knew how to open her cage doors.
The next morning I went about my routine and went to the pet room, to then discover Lola's doors were wide open again! I found it a bit odd considering I definitely made sure they were closed before I went to bed the night before. So then I closed them again and I observed Lola for a few minutes.
Then I got my answer.
The little madam knows how to open her doors! She climbed up the door and wrapped her teeth around the opening and pushed it forward opening her doors fully!
So I hope you guys got some enjoyment from this little story about my Lola.
The moral is to never ever underestimate how clever your hamsters can be!

Re: Meet Lola!
Lola's very cute! It must have been very stressful when you found she'd escaped. Sounds like she has her Houdini trick down to a fine art now!

It was very stressful, and I was very worried about what I would have to do if she didn't come out from the sofa!
But I'm very glad she made her own way back, at first I thought that I may have left the doors open myself but it was her all along!
Such a cheeky little thing aha
