Re: Newt getting a housemate
Thank you! Yes it will most likely be symmetrical CMB - LOL. Helped by the fact the tank is very oblong lol.
So I have the wheel and a shelf in place and don't seem to have room for a house I should have gone for a smaller wheel or smaller shelf. I have two very small hides and that might need to do for now. The houses that come with the Kerry take up quite a bit of space once other things are in there. Any tips on good houses for robos would be appreciated. Decided the platform was more important than something like a labyrinth house.

Re: Newt getting a housemate
I have this. It has a very small hole on top. Is it big enough for a Robo (the hole on top) does anyone know?

Re: Newt getting a housemate
S/he (do you know which yet?) may well be happy to sleep under the shelf if it's quite dark under there, I only have a couple of small houses I've tried one Rodipet don't do any more but the other small potions one would be a really spacious house for a robo! The top lifts off that one which is always a bit of a bonus.
Not sure about any houses available here tbh, if you're a bit stuck you could just start off with a cardboard box until you have an idea of what might suit best.
How big is the hole in the top of that?

Re: Newt getting a housemate
Thank you Cypher - posted at the same time. Yes I did think about that one, but as it's about the same size as the one that came with the Kerry decided not to Well originally it was a she. Then she thought she had mis-sexed one, (girl turned out to be boy) so I said I'd better have a boy. Vet has now confirmed the sexing so girl boy was actually a girl all along. So answer is - not sure yet! It'll be a surprise lol.

Re: Newt getting a housemate
What a gorgeous house for you new robo, Serendipity! I love how whimsical it is - perfect for an enchanted forest theme, lol. I hope that it works perfectly for you. I suppose that you will just have to do a reveal party to announce whether your newest hamily member is a male or female robo - either gender, it will be totally awesome and so much fun. Can't wait to see the little one; I'm so extremely excited for you and your family!!!!

Thank you Dreamtree. Yes I did think it would brighten things up The hole on top has a 2.5cm diameter. I don't know what hole size is suitable for a Robo - only for a Syrian.

I did have my suspicions that you might be tempted by a Robo at some point. I've found Joshua to be quite different from my Chinese, particularly when it comes to handling. I'd imagine it'll seem even stranger to go from handling Syrians to handling a Robo.

That toy is so cute and it looks like the kind of thing I'd buy for some of my small Chinese girls but the 2.5cm diameter would be too small for Joshua to get through. I'd imagine that the larger hole would be fine though.

Thanks Fluffagram - I did wonder. May have to block it off then. I did see a robo house with a 3cm door so wasn't sure.

Re: Newt getting a housemate
So a robo is due to arrive soon then! Sizing is very different. When Loki was here with both Jarvis and Mocho, her timings and activity etc were very different. That was nice as I could watch her when the lazy boys were still in bed.
Loki loved the yellow cheese cube thing. I think cypher has one?? She didn't sleep there but loved going in and out. With her being so small, she simply burrowed in the fitch under a shelf to sleep. Cardboard inners of kitchen towel/loo roll were a fine size and could be changed easily. She was much more appreciative of toys and happily explored those I had for Mocho when set out in the box the cage came in. Great to watch her in perpetual motion!
