Re: 31 Days of October
This thread is just marvelous and so extremely entertaining. I love it!!! Double Pumpkin Trouble made me laugh so hard my sides hurt. How funny!!!! I love Pumpkin giving the other "pumpkin" a nice whiff and examination. Then, she used as a stepper to get to her treats, lol. No fear, Pumpkin; no imposter pumpkin can every take your place as you are the only "true" Pumpkin in our hearts, lol. I love all her pics with the "pumpkin". Her expressions are totally priceless and are as cute and hilarious as can be. I especially love her "Double Trouble!" photo! That is definitely frame worthy!!!
Thanks for also sharing the detailed instructions on how to make your lovely DIY "pumpkin" creations with us. It looks so great, and I think it is extra special that you also did some similar for Sherbet, too. I look forward to making some whenever I have a chance. I'm sure Eros and Snickers will enjoy them. Thanks again!

Re: 31 Days of October
I so laughed at the pic of Lavender and the pumpkin.
As for the rest of the thread being Pumpkin, I know we're in for lots of surprises.
So love the mushroom house pics of both years, Aww Pumpkin's expressions make me giggle.
As for Double Trouble lol! Pumpkin meeting the pumpkin so made me smile, she's such a clever, gorgeous girl. Her little face examining it and getting the treats so melted my heart.

Re: 31 Days of October
Thank you dreamtree1234 and Thin Lizzy, it was very cute watching Pumpkin examining and sniffing the DIY pumpkin wondering what it was as well as then posing for some really cute and also funny pictures!
___________
24th - Pumpkin with another DIY Pumpkin Decoration
Today I thought I would another DIY Halloween Pumpkin Tutorial this time for a hanging cage decoration. Don’t worry this Pumpkin wont demand cuddles or treats!
- Firstly you will need a part of a clean Pringle tube with the outer paper layer removed – I cut a 6cm piece off. Flatten the Pringle tube and using a ruler makes a mark every 1.5cm near both folded edge. You will then need to draw a line connecting these marks at either end of the tubes, so once cut it with form rings.
- Cut along lines to form 4 rings with scissors (or a craft knife)
- At each folded edge I drew a line along the folded edge and then made a mark halfway along this line. Repeat at both ends of all 4 rings
- Using the marks you have just made halfway along the folded edge make a hole at both end of the ring – repeat for all 4 rings. To do this place some blue tac on the inside and use a sharp pencil to make a hole (or something like a drill bit also works well to make the hole alongside blue tac - without the drill and I twisted by hand to make the holes). Make sure the hole will be large enough to thread your string through.
- Paint the rings with an orange pet-safe paint (if you are using plastikote to make a bright orange colour you can mix some red and yellow plastikote together). Once the paint has dried start threading the rings onto the string to form a ball shape.
- Continue threading the rings onto the string.
- At one end tie a knot. This will be the bottom, so cut any excess string off.
- Cut a leaf shape out of a thin piece of card. Then make a hole through the leaf and paint with green pet safe paint.
- Thread the leaf onto the string and tie a knot. If you want you can slightly curl the leaf upwards.
Then you can hang your Pumpkin in your hamster’s cage for them to enjoy. I think they look very cute hanging in Pumpkin’s cage.
Here is Pumpkin investigating one of her DIY pumpkin Halloween decoration …

Re: 31 Days of October
Thank you Serendipity7000, cypher and BorisPasha. I love to make my own decorations and chews for my hamsters, as it is so nice to see them enjoying the things I make for them – and although Pumpkin isn’t chewing her Halloween decorations however they look very cute in her cage and it so lovely that I managed to take some sweet photo of Pumpkin with them.

25th – The Haunted House!
When Pumpkin was out on an adventure she stumbled across a haunted house in her playpen, after cautiously approaching Pumpkin quickly discovered that the house was inhabited by yummy mealworms and she couldn’t resist having a quick snack and pouched a few of the mealworms for a snack later. However Pumpkin accidentally awoke the resident ghost but don’t worry Pumpkin gave him a big fright with her most scarily cute expression.
