Re: 30 Days of September
The next 2 hammies to join the Hamily were Freya and Loki.
Freya wasn't planned, I got her at the MHC Christmas show in 2015. I'd looked at the hammies on the sales table and fallen in love with a tiny normal WW girl from Lilliput, but I had initially decided I wouldn't get her. She worked her magic though and came home with me, she never grew much and stayed quite small but she was such a pretty little lady. She never really agreed with having her wheel in working order and much preferred to bury it and hoard her food in there.

Loki was a mel yellow banded rescue boy. A friend of my mum had bought him and couldn't keep him as her cats were constantly harassing him. When I agreed to take him, she had no idea how old he was or what gender he was, all she could tell me was that she'd had him for about a month and had named him Caramel.
He was in a tiny cage with a barred shelf and a tiny wheel that didn't even turn and he was absolutely terrified of everything. He was quite a screecher and quite chaotic (hence changing his name to Loki). Once he settled in and realised he was safe though, he grew into the sweetest little boy, he can't have been much more than a baby when he came to me, he never really lost his love of being vocal though.

Re: 30 Days of September
Lovely to hear about your rescues & how your hams came to live with you, those two have really sweet faces!
Little Freya looks like quite a character in those photos in spite of her teeny size
Loki looks like a lovely ham too.

I love hearing about your rescues, you have a heart of gold.
So much beauty and cuteness.
You mentioned about finding out more about your dogs DNA, there was a report about this on BBCs Watchdog programme not long ago about people getting ripped off.

Thank you everyone, it's nice to have an excuse to look back through all my old pictures and reminisce about my past hammies

Awwwh thank you hun. I'll definitely take a lot of time to seek out a reputable place to do it, even if I have to pay slightly higher for it

Re: 30 Days of September
Embla and Eir were absolutely gorgeous! I love the story of how you got Embla and Eir's coat color is exceptionally stunning! I can see how Freya stole your heart; I would have taken her home, too. It was so wonderful that Loki finally was able to show his true personality and not let the fear take over. It must have been rewarding and truly special to help him through all of it and create such a loving bond with him. You are so such a goodhearted person to have given all of your rescue hammies a wonderful, loving home with you, and I know that you must have made all of the difference in making their lives truly amazing.

Re: 30 Days of September
The next hammy was my little Husky Robo boy Thor. He was incredibly special as he was the hammy that got me talking to other breeders properly as Husky Robo's were a little scarce and so a breeder friend enquired about borrowing him. He's fathered a few litters with a couple of different breeders whilst on holiday with them and the time he spent at home with me was definitely full of memories.
The most notable was getting him out of his cage to show a friend a couple of days before his first breeding holiday. He jumped out of my hands and tore off around my room before we finally managed to corner him in my walk-in cupboard. My friend knelt down on all fours to try and catch him and he was having none of it. He launched up, bounced off her face and raced off again
He was a sweetie though and I miss him a lot, I hope to have a relation of his in the distant future.

The pups that were mentioned as needing homes, I'm pretty sure are related to Thor

Re: 30 Days of September
Heheheee! What a silly ham Thor bouncing off your friend's face in order to continue his adventure! He sure was a creator of wonderful, fun-filled memories, I'm sure! That must have been extremely scary at the time but proved to be tons of laughs after the fact. He was SO cuteness overload. I love all of his gorgeous pics; the fourth and the fifth had me grinning from ear to ear. I am glad that his hammy-line is thriving; I hope that you will acquire one of his relations, too. That will be truly special.
