Re: Our little family :-)
He is a bully in his own special way! I got genuinely concerned for him.. freezing like that is only supposed to happen when they are scared or something like that, right?

Re: Our little family :-)
I never knew a hamster to freeze in unusual positions like that. It's normally when they are upright walking on all fours.
Hope he's ok.

Re: Our little family :-)
He froze lying down casually.. we then manipulated him a bit to see if he would react. The last attempt was to see what happened og we put him on his back, he wouldn't have that, but then decided that he didn't need to straighten up further than that. It was really weird, but he seems fine now.

Re: Our little family :-)
I'm glad he seems fine now. I certainly have never seen a hammy do that before, especially in such a contorted position. I hope he continues to be fine, and it doesn't happen any more. I certainly understand why it must have frightened you both; I would feel the same way if Eros ever did that. Good luck.

Re: Our little family :-)
We decided to give him a few days peace, leaving him to himself in his cage. We are hoping the hairloss might get better from that too.

Re: Our little family :-)
Tiki had her first real clean out(without moving cages) a few days ago.
She ungratefully thanked me by cleaning the hippo og sand! (I worked so hard to clean it for her )
But at least she seemed to like her new house

Re: Our little family :-)
Don't you just love it when hammies help do house chores, lol. I just cleaned and rearranged Eros's cage today and was so pleased with myself just to turn around a few seconds later to realize that she had made a huge sand mess all over everything. I cleaned most of the sand up. However, I now have the cutest and tiniest, hammy sand prints leaving their special mark wherever she had been. The joys of being a ham-parent - love it! You just have to smile at Tiki's helpfulness; she loves you so much! I love all the pics. The last one is SO cute and endearing with her sweet face poking out. Aww!

Re: Our little family :-)
I'm sure she meant well.. the worst thing is, i knew she would do it, or i should have known.. she has done it before. The hippo is simply not allowed to have sand silly me
I have a video of her too i need to get up. Her new house is zeldas old "tower" and Tiki isn't as big as zelda but still tries to climb up the same ways(ignoring the ladders), which makes for some very entertaining moments
