Re: Meet James
I'm so sorry to hear that James is a nipper regardless of where he is; I didn't realize that and thought it was a one time occurrence that happened at the vet's office. Hopefully, that will change one day soon - fingers crossed. I'm glad that he seems healthy in all aspects, but it is very worrisome that his mouth is still red and he keeps scratching. I really, REALLY hope that the vet will be able to solve the mystery of what is causing all of his discomfort, itchiness, and redness. I will be praying that you receive good news soon and will be able to cure him. Best of luck to you and James. Hugs.

Re: Meet James
That's strange his mouth still being red, sorry he doesn't like going to the vet, some hams do find it quite stressful. I really hope your vet gets the answers you need soon.
Big Hugs to James xx

Re: Meet James
I think the red mouth was just from the heat as its a lot more pink now its cooler, sorry I've not been giving updates about him. I have a weird question...
Why does James keep deep throating the water spout?

Re: Meet James
Glad to hear his mouth is better than it was.
Not sure about the thing with the water bottle, I have seen hams do it before but don't really know why! Is he chewing on it at all?
You could just try a bowl & see if he gets on better with that.

Re: Meet James
He doesn't chew it at all and he drinks fine from the bottle, just sometimes he seems to do that weird thing with it. He would kick his substrate in to a bowl of water, that is why I'm not using one with him.

Re: Meet James
So relieved Jame's mouth is better. Master Harvey sometimes did that with the water bottle.

Re: Meet James
Hi everyone!
Sorry I'm not around much as James rarely gives us the time of the day, we barely see him unless he is drinking or eating. Right now he is two years old, and seems to be getting a bit wobbly on his legs. He is walking fine but his front legs are looking slightly limp, still uses them to eat with and walks on them. Not really sure how to explain it, he uses them but they don't seem to be fully functional.
