I remember Whisper, she is absolutely adorable - she looks like she was really enjoying herself in all those photos. Love all the photos of Whisper and she looks so cute especially with her stuffed pouches and with her valentines teddy. Her sprout pot is so cute!

And the bonus Bank holiday special photos of Tinw are incredibly cute - especially love the first one!

My baby woodpecker sat on my shed roof or in a tree in my garden both near to the feeder and waited patiently for the parent to bring food to him. This was the first year I had a baby woodpecker in my garden so he might have been a very contented baby woodpecker.

Thanks Serendipity & SKB

A bit of a random selection today, I'd planned on posting some new photos of my current hamily but nobody really wanted to play ball & mostly all I have are a few blurry ones!
So plan B!

A Ziggy weigh in.

weighin.jpg

And one more of Mickle's nests, in the playpen this time.

nest2.jpg

Whisper enjoying her veg, just like Zen she would perch on the edge of her bowl.

whispveg.jpg

Zeki have a bit of a forage.

zekfood.jpg

And finally my cheeky garden mouse!
S/he will often come out & sit at my feet to eat some sunflower seeds when I go out to feed the birds in the morning but a couple of times s/he got lucky & found the birds had left some food the day before when she climbed up into the feeder tray, not at all put off by me standing there chatting away (as you do lol!) & taking a few photos!

Ha ha! I had two thoughts there and you nearly fooled me, I thought first of all, "that hamster looks like a mouse" and second, "that doesn't look like HC approved hamster food".
I love Zeki and Ziggys curled tails

Ziggy in the cup... Awwwww! Sooo tiny.

Mickle looks very comfy in that nest

Love how Whisper has her little feet on the edge of the bowl!

Zeki's beautiful colouring always gets me every time.

Your garden mouse is very cute. I do like mice... Unfortunately, our cats probably scare them away (though they are thankfully hopeless at catching anything).

Lovely pictures as always Like Ruth I too noticed Zeki and Whisper's curled tails

It was nice that you kept Ziggy's decency by not actually posting his weight, I'm sure he would have appreciated that Mickle was just so lovely, even if she does have a bit of a fierce Artie face, it adds to her character

Awww at the little mouse

Loved those pics of Whisper and the smiley face with sprouts.
Ziggy Zig Ahhh!!
Mickle looked so snug & cosy.
It always makes me smile seeing Whisper perched on the edge of her bowl.
Whisper & Zeki's curled tails are so cute.

Not only do you get bees, butterflies, a variety of birds & hedgehogs to your beautiful garden but a wild mouse too. So adorable.
I can just imagine the communication between them ' Hey Buzz Bee, have you been to the magical garden with loads of flowers, plants, hidey places and buffet? lol!
The woodpeckers send their messages via morse code, those sharp beaks are well up for the job.

Thanks everyone

lol! Lizzy that made me laugh!
Final day today & another trip to that magical garden!

I love bumble bees & the often overlooked solitary bees, there are so many of them (about 225 species compared to just 24 bumble bees & 1 honey bee!) & of them all the leaf cutters are my favourites.

onetube.jpg

There's a small hole in my window frame & most years someone chooses to lay there eggs in there! Here you can see a leaf cutter carrying a tiny piece of leaf into the hole to line her nest.

Finally something warm & fuzzy to finish

Just catching up on your lovely thread. Btw, SKB and AprilPearl was right concerning the
"conveyor belt treadmill" that I was referring to; it was the bolt on shelf in the photo where Ickle Mickle is sitting on top of her hideaway.

I love all of the pics of the birds, especially the one of daddy woodpecker with his baby. I also loved seeing lots of pics of Little Whisp. She sounds like she was such a precious hammy, and the love she had for you was so evident in the pics where she was eating from your hand. I'm sure that her short life was completely filled with tons of love and fun. I also loved all your pics of your hammies in yesterday's posts and the bee photos today. Cypher, you are a magnificent photographer capturing so much detail.

I just wanted to say again that I TRULY enjoyed your month of pics, etc. It was very enjoyable, beautiful, and touching. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

I had no idea there were so many species of bees! Ignorant as I am, I thought there were just "normal" bees, and bumble bees. I stand corrected. Didn't even know there were leaf cutter bees, though I have heard of leaf cutter ants. Thank you for educating me that last picture is very pretty.

Also, thank you for asking this month so fun! I've found myself looking forward to seeing what you'd post.

Oh the utter cuteness of your Chinese hamsters. They are all so lovely. I love the perching on the food bowl picture, so agile.

How amazing that the little mouse didnt run away from you. Lovely photo!

Bees and flowers ... wonderful. Thank you for a varied colourful cute and entertaining month.
