Re: 31 days of August
Lovely to see Ickle Mickle's photos - she was such a character and I remember her veg assaults and giant nests
Zen and Tinwe look adorable - I especially like the one of Tinwe looking up as if to say - ooh thank you!

I so love Zen, that little cute cheeky face makes me smile so much, my cheeks ached.
She has another love in her life frogham Artie.

Re: 31 days of August
Well spotted SKB! Now you mention it I can see how the shelf does look like a little treadmill lol! Thanks for that & nice to hear you enjoyed catching up with the photos
Thanks AP.
BP now all I can think to say is awwww thanks! Zen blows a whisker kiss to Artie
Coco, Serendipity & Lizzy, thank you & Serendipity I think you're right too, it does look as though Tinwë is saying just that!
A few more from the garden, feathered friends today.
Woodpeckers are regular visitors to the garden & I particularly enjoy watching them in the spring when Dad is feeding his babies (it's always Dad for some reason!)

Another lovely little bird with bright red markings that I don't see too often so I'm always pleased when I do, the linnet, well I think it is, it could be a redpoll but I'm going for linnet!

So lovely, so much detail and close up of the woodpecker, I wish I had your garden. That beak looks mighty sharp lol!

Re: 31 days of August
Woodpeckers have such beautiful colouring. I never realised before. How lucky are you that you get all this wonderful wildlife in your garden? So lovely that the Dads get involved with their babies.
The linnet is a pretty little thing too

Re: 31 days of August
Lizzy those beaks are designed to drill holes in trees so they are pretty sharp! I wouldn't want to get in the way of one
I'm glad I can at least share a little of my garden with you
AP they are rather beautiful when you get a good look at them, I am lucky, quite a lot of work goes into it but I never fail to appreciate who & what comes into my little patch of heaven!

Re: 31 days of August
Thanks Serendipity
A few more of our feathered friends.
The strikingly handsome & very agile nuthatch!
I get these & the woodpeckers on my window feeder & it's amazing to watch them from just a few inches away

And I can't do birds without a blue tit or two, common but still incredibly cute
On alert!

Re: 31 days of August
The nuthatch and bluetit both have beautiful colouring too. You think of bright colourful birds as living in places like the Caribbean, but when you take a closer look at the birds here in the UK many of them are actually quite striking.
That first picture of the bluetit looks very professional. It's amazing.
