Default Looking to add to my furry family

So its been a while since Ive been on here

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm looking for another hamster to join my furry family but don't really know where to look. I'm thinking maybe a hamster from a breeder but dont seem to be able to find any local to me. I'm based in Buckingham.

Can anyone point me in the right direction

Why don't you look for a breeder registered with the National Hamster Council. They are listed on the NHC website and you can find one near you.

Breeders also sometimes sell stock at hamster shows. The NHC shows for 2017 are also listed on their website, so if there is one near you it might be worth going along.

AP gave some good resources on places to purchase breeder hams

Remember too that you could always rescue. Hamsters are abandoned in shelters as well, and need good homes there too. Try checking out your local shelter as well to see if maybe you can find your heart ham there

So I've spent the day trying to find a local breeder or rescue. So far I've not found a breeder anywhere near me and all local rescues don't seem to have any hams.

Not sure where else to look

Is there an upcoming show near to you? As I said, breeders often sell hamsters at shows.

Also, did you look at the breeders on the NHC website via the link I posted? If there is one within 2 hours of you, then that is really good. Lilliputian hams in Warwickshire is about an hour from Buckinghamshire.

There's a hamster show in Bracknell at the beginning of September. You might get one there. How far are you from Bracknell?
