Default Daisy Diary and Cotton Tales

We found Daisy covered in bits of black sticky stuff last night. She looked ridiculous, but I am keeping a close eye on her in case she has ingested any of the duct tape.
Her old cage was fixed with the stuff after someone, probably Daisy, chewed a hamster sized hole in the corner.
Luckily I had another cage being used as a playpen, so I've put some more substrate in there and some of her furniture. Now Cotton can't play on the big wheel any more so got to try to fix the Langham cage with out duct tape this time.
I thought about putting a brick or a rock in the corner. Does that sound like a good idea?
If I can make that cage good again I can put another big wheel in it and Cotton can live there instead of his IMac Fantasy which is too small.

Here's a picture of Cotton. He fancies Daisy. No chance.

Tried putting a big rock in the corner but it was too unstable. I think we could tape something over the hole from the outside, but I've still got to cover the chewed hole from the inside. So glad I've got the Martyr to Hamsters to help me. He's been really nice about the " pesky critters" and now that we have the new quieter Trixie wheel he can hear the telly again.

The photos look fine to me, seen much bigger! As you haven't embedded them they won't stretch the page anyway.
Cotton looks lovely there
Hope Daisy wasn't silly enough to eat any of the tape & is going to be fine & happy in the other cage.

Here's the bendy bridge held in place with a rock. Now to find room for the Trixie wheel

Now the wheel is in place. I don't think Daisy will appreciate the logistical subtleties it takes to put this thing together. She will probably just be cross that her stuffs been touched?

i hope the bendy bridge and rock stay in place.

I read/saw somewhere about someone who had a strip of plastic and heated it until it was soft and covered a hole in a cage base with the strip. As it cools it sticks/joins the strip to the cage base. They did a strip on both the inside and outside.
