Re: Daisy Diary and Cotton Tales
Having never had a Syrian hamster or a female hamster I'm not sure what that could be on Daisy's tail. Is it possible she could be catching it on something? She does have a very cute butt though

Its odd about the tail, it looks like she has pinched it, but it happens regularly and Daisy isn't daft enough to keep injuring herself the same way, at least she seems quite smart. She's not very active.
You are very kind to Cotton, [B]flower fairy but he really is a little scruff, with random tufts of fluff sticking out and very bony . But in his mind he is the Casanova of hams, ready to climb in the ladies' bedroom window, and completely irresistible. Peach would sort him out, she's twice his size.

Re: Daisy Diary and Cotton Tales
Adorable photo of Cotton - he looks very intrigued by the girls' cages.
I also think the red mark is a hematoma/blood blister - my Pumpkin currently has one similar on her tummy. It looks like she might have caught her tail on something and bruised it.

Re: Daisy Diary and Cotton Tales
Love the pics and glad to hear that the ham trio are all doing well. I think Daisy's red tail may be a blood blister. I hope it goes away soon and it doesn't continue to occur periodically. Eros has never had one, but it looks like Daisy may have had her tail pinched on something without you being aware of it. Casanova Cotton is a true Prince Charming that can capture the hearts of all.

Re: Daisy Diary and Cotton Tales
It's a long time since I posted, sorry.
Dear little Daisy passed away in March. She had been gradually slowing down and wobbling a bit, so I guess it was her time. She was even getting a bit grey around the nose. I don't know how old she was.
Cotton is doing well. His fur has grown a lot longer. He lives in a Detolf now and it's the best cage yet. And......he's a dad. Peachy had some babies last week and all seems to be well.
