Thank you hampals for looking at Daisy Diary and Cotton Tales. I am glad you liked our pictures and stories. After reading a thread about safety in cages, Mumster took all my chews off the chain and left them lying around the cage . Then she said she might give one of them to Cotton so I have been busy hiding them in my nest.

Mumster complains when I build my nest nest to the wheel but she let me do it now because otherwise I just sleep there naked which makes her uncomfortable.
Why doesn't she want to have my nest there anyway?

Now I'm really comfy and snug.
My wheel doesn't seem to turn round any more. It's so frustrating, I'm going to tear out some of this corky brown stuff.

Haha Daisy looks happy to be able to stash that chew now!

Hamsters can be very stubborn about where they want to do things (eat, sleep, pee). For example, I tried to get Quigley to use a toilet by putting a shallow puppy bowl of sand in the corner where his wet corner is. Because the bowl is circular there is a gap between it and the corner of the cage. Quigley has been standing in the toilet and peeing into the gap, rather than in the sand.

They always have there ways of doing things and it usually isn't what we think is a good idea

She looks cosy in her big corner nest. That's a new way to stop a wheel turning. I wouldn't be suppressed if this catches on with other hamsters.

So funny when they carry huge chews about the cage, Daisy looks so determined with hers. I hope she managed to hide them lol!

Just quietly sitting checking HC this morning when I hear a loud tapping noise. It's Cotton trying to get a large chew into his house.

But as soon as he sees me he forgets it and wants to come out to explore. He was not that interested in the cacti.

I wonder if he was looking out the window. I often wonder whether they can see through glass. Don't spike yourself on those cacti, Cotton!
