Worried about Scaring My new Hamster

Hi, I just got a Roboroski
I tried to tub tame him but he got so scared in the tub that he wouldn't do anything the days before he was taking to my hand extremely well, he would feed from it he even completely crawled on it. After the failed tub taming event i put my hand in with a treat on it and her ran away terrified! Did I ruin our bond???im just really stressed and nervous about this and I could use some advice

Try not to worry too much, set backs happen but they generally get over them with a little time.
I don't recommend the bath tub taming method for dwarf hams, it's too big a space & can be really intimidating for them.
If you want to get your ham out for taming try using a plastic storage box that has enough room for a few toys & maybe a wheel but isn't too big, you can try putting some substrate from the cage in the bottom to make it smell familiar.
For now I would just give your ham a few days to settle again, go back to the beginning just talking quietly & putting your hand in the cage, even if he runs away he should begin coming back & taking the treat from you again after a little while.

If your robo didn't like the tub. You could try taming in the cage. Being in the familiar area/cage may help him be more confident.

I think your main problem is you used an area with too much space. I find that the tub is too large, even for Syrians, let alone dwarves. You could try a taming box instead (find a box which is small but just large enough that they can run from you if they want to. Perhaps a 30cm long box would do it. If you persevere, your hamster will calm down and stop running from you. At first, you can just have your hamster in the taming box and leave your hand in there with them. You can even put some treats on your hand to encourage them over (I highly recommend broccoli!). It's unlikely they will approach your hand at first. But, if you just put them in the box and leave your hand in there for 10 or 15 minutes 2 or 3 times a day (you will have to get up early and go to bed late for this though, so once a day is fine too) they will start to investigate you hand after a couple of days. Eventually, they will probably even use it as an escape route! As they become more used to your hand, you can stroke them and also try scooping them up (but only about a cm from the ground at first).

I'm not a fan of the bathtub taming thing, I've found it doesn't actually do much but of course everyone's experience is different. Personally I use a storage box with a few toys in and nice yummy treats they love.
I wouldn't be worried, it happens sometimes with taming, set backs and such, you have to learn what your own individual hamster is ok with. What works for one might not work for another.
