31 Days of July
Hello! I thought I'd start this month with a quick introduction of my current pets. I have a Syrian hamster and two Guinea Pigs
First we have my Syrian Amber. She is short haired, cinnamon and about a year and 9 months old. Here are some pictures:
This is quite an old picture from when I first got her. She took a couple of weeks to tame but now she's very sweet and enjoys human attention (or is it just the food?)

This is more recent but isn't a great picture. I'll try to post some better ones later in the month

Now for my guinea pigs, Phineas and Ferb (We named them a while ago!) They're about 5 and a half so are getting on a bit but they aren't showing any signs of aging yet so hopefully have a couple of years left! They are a bit skittish but they've become a lot more tame recently.
A picture from when we first got them:

And a more recent one:

I hope you enjoy this month, I'm very excited for it!

Re: 31 Days of July
Thanks everyone
Today I'm going to introduce you to my first hamster Heidi. I got her in 2013 as a Christmas present with a pretty small rotastak cage which she lived in for around a year. However, a while later a friend I had (who had introduced me to hamsters) got a hamster heaven which I thought was very cool with the platforms and tubes so I bought one for Heidi. At the time I didn't really know anything about recommended cage sizes and everything but I'm very glad I ended up getting a bigger cage for her. Heidi was very tame and loved her food - she was also very active and had loads of energy! Unfortunately she was put to sleep at the age of 2 in December 2015 due to a tumour in her bladder (I think). She wasn't herself at all in the few weeks leading up to that so I feel it was for the best as she was normally such an energetic hammy. She taught me a lot about hamsters and although I didn't care for her too well to begin with it was her that led me to learn about proper hamster care. I've attached some photos as photobucket isn't working properly but they are a bit blurry as she was always on the move!

Re: 31 Days of July
Heidi sounds really sweet & she looks lovely in the photos, so sad that she had to be pts in the end but she had a good long life full of love, I'm sure she was a very happy ham

Re: 31 Days of July
Heidi looks as though she was a little fluffy! Very cute girl. She made a good age, too, though it must have been heartbreaking to have her put down.
