Re: 31 Days of July
Thank you DreamTree
Another one of my neighbours' pets today as I'm really out of things to post now This is another neighbour's cat who likes to visit us, I don't actually know his name but they've had him for less than a year so he's still pretty young. He was the sweetest kitten when they got him He often comes into our garden and sits on top of the guinea pig hutch - I'm not too bothered by this as our hutch is pretty secure and they don't seem at all bothered by him but we'll see. He's pretty sweet when he lets you approach him but he's a little skittish at first.
I'll try and get some pictures of Wonky tomorrow, I'm able to go earlier as it's now the holidays so I should be able to exercise him and get some better pictures. I'll also try and get some more pictures of the wildlife

Re: 31 Days of July
As promised some photos of Wonky from today - I'll have to share them over multiple posts as I'm posting from my phone but never mind! I tried lunging him today, but I couldn't really canter him because of the wet ground. Of course he decided to bolt off in canter anyway! He is still really bad with lunging - if you don't have a whip he'll keep on walking towards you rather than in a circle but if you do hold one the slightest move towards him will send him bolting off in canter so I'm not sure what to do.
If anyone has any experience with horses and has any advice it would be greatly appreciated - I can't really use a whip with him as he's scared of them (he was abused in the past) but if I don't use one he won't go out into a circle. Another problem is that he'll only go in one direction and any attempt to get him to go the other way ends in him bolting in the wrong direction again! I also don't really get to exercise him much as I'm only there once a week and even then I don't always have time to lunge him. It's the only way for him to get any exercise as he can't be ridden and I would like to get him a bit fitter as he's rather chubby!
Anyway, this photo is from when I had him on the lunge. I have to use the side ring as the cavesson doesn't fit him too well so it slips into his eye if I use the top one.

Re: 31 Days of July
This was from after I attempted to lunge him and was just walking him up and down the field as he has pretty bad manners when leading!

Re: 31 Days of July
Great photos of Wonky! I love that last one
I have absolutely zero experience with horses so can't offer any advice at all!

Re: 31 Days of July
I'm afraid I don't ride so can't offer any advice on horses, but I'm very jealous of people who do. Wonky is so cute! Even though I can't ride I would love a horse haha.

Re: 31 Days of July
We're currently on holiday in the Isle of Wight so I have a few pictures from today Again they'll be in separate posts as I'm posting off of my phone.
This first photo is of an American (I think) aircraft carrier that was in the Solent today, some of you may have heard of it. I think it was called the USS George HW Bush. We sailed past it on our ferry this morning which was interesting, I've been on the ferry to the Isle of Wight many times and this was possibly one of the most interesting.
