Just wandered if the 'Great & Small' Woodshavings is safe for Hamsters

I'm not in the UK so I can't answer from experience, but a link may help as nothing is showing up in a google search for me. UK members familiar with the brand may be able to advise you better

Is this the one you mean? There's no information about what type of wood it is. Might be a good idea to email them and ask them.

I'm sure you know that pine and cedar are no-no's.

I believe that most of the pine based substrates in the UK are kiln dried so will not carry the same risks that are usually associated with pine.

I've not used this particular brand myself so can't speak from experience but I think that Great and Small are the own-brand of Pets Corner, who seem to be pretty well respected as a pet shop and I would have thought that the shavings that they sell will be safe for use with hamsters.
