I'm so happy to know that there are people like you that save poor creatures that can't speak for themselves! Daenerys is very beautiful, can't imagine how anybody would laugh at such precious creature suffering. It's very good that their account is being monitored now.
Glad to hear that she's doing better. Looking forward to learning more about her progress!

Hi guys!
A massive update!

Or maybe it seems massive to me but we will see!

Daenerys let me put my hands in her cage today without running and hiding in her bed.
We had had an exciting day because I'd moved her cage to a new area in the room so she was interested in what the move was all about
Then I open the lid and gave her some food and she didn't run away
I offered her a meal worm and although she didn't take it from my hand she did sniff it and my hand a lot and decided to eat some food from the floor in front of my hand.

I'm pretty sure her eating food in front of me (a possible threat) means she is getting more relaxed around me

I though about trying to touch her while she was eating but decided against too much for one day

I'm quite happy because this is a big step

Before now she would only take food through the bars of her lid and would hide if I opened it and if my hands were in the cage when she woke up
Such a good girl!

That was brave of her. Hopefully she will continue being brave and at some point let you stroke and hold her.

Next time she's at her food dish, gently stroke her back, if she flinches then stop but if she doesn't then continue. While you gently stroke her talk gently to her telling her she's a good girl.
You're making great progress.

What a great update of Miss D's progress, sounds like she is building a bond of trust with you albeit slowly Loved her pics she is such a great colour too.
Ghost our new Hamboy is quite a nervy little dude and his taming is also a slow process.
But he waves a paw and says hello..

It's been a long time coming but guys she let me stroke her for the first time! It's the first physical contact we have actually had!

I'm so proud I might burst!

She's healing from her trauma for sure!!
