She's so gorgeous! Glad she's running on her saucer at least, she seems to be settling well

Such a pretty little girl, well done on rescuing Daenerys MissJeliza, so sad that some people think that they can treat animals like this

Glad you were able to rescue one hammie to a good home with you. Like her name too

Congrats!
Please though, If its pregnant separate them right away. I know someone who had a hamster. She found out to late and sent a friend to split them up, since she was at work. By the time her friend got there the hamster had eaten the babies! I would hate for that to happen.

Did you mean separate the pups ffrom the mother? The babies can't survive without the mother until they are weaned. Culling can occur for many reasons but separating the pups before they are old enough to survive on their own would result in their death.

Hi guys, so far no signs of Pregnancy from Daenerys,

She's progressing quite slowly, but knowing her situation I am very proud of how far she has come,

A few weeks ago she would freeze or run away and hide if I came into the room, and she wouldn't dare come out while I was there,
And now when she wakes up and sees me in the room, she has a little look around for a few seconds to check the coast is clear, that nothing scary is happening and then she walks right on out of her hiding place and wonders round the cage,
And if I walk into the room while she's awake she will freeze for a few seconds then carry on what she is doing.

I think this is a massive improvement and I'm so proud of her

She is not ready to be held or picked up or even to take food from my hand yet, but Im going at her rate for everything, she does let me put food in her sights and will come and pouch it when I move my hand away, so baby steps!

She still isn't using her wheel yet, I can't do anything about it yet because when I put my hand in the cage she runs away to her bed, so when I've tried to spin the wheel slows to show her it works she is too scared to see what's happening,

But she has a very big cage now, (Detolf) so a lot of space to run around, and maybe she will use the wheel on her own when I'm not in the room,

My partner swears he hears the wheel spinning when we arnt in the room but I honestly think that's Igor our Russian Dwarf on his wheel!

The wheels sound different! I swear!

It's so sweet to see her improving week by week
She has a funny little personality, and the way she interacts with the other animals in the room make me laugh, one of my guinea pigs Baby will Rumble at her, which is GP way of saying 'your annoying me stop that!' when she is being noisy using her water bottle!
And Daenerys just blinks at her like 'what?'

So there is our little life update!

What a lovely update on your little girl Daenerys, you're doing great with getting to know her and going at her pace. Great she has a bigger cage, your hubby is probably right about hearing the wheel, she probably goes on it when no one's around, some hams prefer to do that. I'm glad she isn't pregnant. I'm not surprised you're proud of her progress, even if she isn't about in her cage, talk quietly to her and praise her.
